One
receptionist instead of three
The
customer
A community development organization with three offices on
the Island of Montreal. Each of these offices had a telephone
system with two phone lines and a fax line.
The problem
Like any non-profit organization with limited funds, this
customer is always striving to control operating costs. Switching
from an analog telephone platform to an IP platform helped.
The organization also wanted a solution to the problem of
telephones being tied up by the large number of inter-office
calls. So it turned to FLO-IP for help
The solution
The solution implemented by FLO-IP reduced the number of telephone
systems and lines and centralized incoming calls. All three
offices are now served by a single telephone system. The FLO-IP
solution has also replaced nine lines (6 telephones and 3
faxes) with only 4, a savings of $450 per month and $5,400
per year. In addition, the system has helped simplify incoming
faxes, which are converted to PDF format and sent directly
to recipients by e-mail. Fax machines are no longer used except
to send certain documents.
The installation cost of this system was much
lower than that of an analog system, which would have amounted
to at least $2000 per room.
In addition, with the centralization of calls
and optimization of telephone functions, a single receptionist
can now handle all calls, a significant savings for a community
organization.
